Founded in Oslo by Norwegian designers Petter Skogstad and Fredrik Wærnes, “Skogstad & Wærnes” is a design studio born from a shared vision and a decade of expertise. Having honed their skills while working alongside leading brands across the globe, the duo decided to combine their talents in 2020, with a firm belief in the meaning of honest and thoughtful designs. 

The genesis of their latest creation, MELLO, was an exploration of weaving techniques and patterns. Skogstad & Wærnes experimented with yarn and paper to develop a unique diagonal pattern. This innovative approach not only resulted in a structurally robust construction but also imbued the fabric with a soft, three-dimensional texture. The interplay between a white warp and mono-colored weft accentuates the intricate binding, creating a shine that showcases the inherent luster of Norwegian wool.
